FATSHIONABLE: Peek Into My Closet

57

I know how difficult it is to find clothes that fits us when we are plus size.  It is so difficult that we get into the tempting habit of wearing and buying any old sack that fits.

THAT IS THE WRONG DECISION.  Ladies, don’t buy clothes and items that just fit, buy clothes and items that you love, will wear repeatedly, that you will rock with confidence, and that will boost your self esteem.

I used to fall into that trap.  My closet is filled with useless crap that I won’t wear because I don’t feel confident, or sexy or empowered.  Shrug off those shackles and redefine yourselves.

I’m not saying its easy, it can be down right hard and disheartening, but I feel that a few, well chosen, tailored, and flattering pieces will go much further than any old piece that we buy out of a sense of obligation.  You know that sense we have “well-I’m -never-going-to-find-anything-that-fits-so-I-might-as-well-count-my-blessings” obligations.

fatshionable:

This is what I see every day when I walk toward my closet. I may be feeling low but when I open my closet door, I get a burst of energy from all the colors, textures, and sentiment attached to different garments. And my shoes are just there being fabulous.
